You’re really good at teasing comments out of me by alluding to something potentially interesting without giving any details. It’s not fair and you should stop it right now.
I must confess, it isn’t particularly interesting. It is just that citadel, the fine chunk of plastic and metal which will be your server today, was down. I discovered this by being in the throes of Post Creation, in my mind, mind you, and directing my browser faeryeward, only to find myself stymied. Savvy?
I should note that the Post I was Creating in my mind lost the name of action, seeming after some time waiting for my website to contain less interest and sparkle for me than it originally did. So it is lost forever.
Since it spontaneously returned, the Lord of das Blinkenlights says it was the ISP most likely, and logic seems to dictate that such was indeed the case.
‘cept that I use the same ISP at work, via the same POP, and I didn’t experience any outages today. Yer story smells of fish, madame. Codfish!
You could at least make up something exciting, like “a stray dog snuck in and peed on the server” or “the roof caved in and creamed the server mightily”.

Right, right, it was down. You’ve said that much. But why was it down?

Sorry for not lying. I’ll try harder next time.
