But it is SNOWING! Flakes as big as a silver dollar! Splashing in the puddles and throwing a frosty pall over the leaves and barkdust. Somewhere out in the woods the deer are snuffling back to a soggy sleep, and the wild black cats are sniffing the air and primly examining their chilly paws. Grad students are venturing outside with guilty childishness to raise their hands to the skies and laugh at themselves and at each other. The snow is coming down thick and white, and winter is falling!

I got to drive to work in a beautiful gentle snowfall today. If snow isn’t the most aesthetically pleasing natural phenomenon EVAR, then I don’t know what is.

I suppose snow in November in Oregon is much akin in weirdness to snow in baltimore in march huh… strange weather we’ve been having lately eh?

I got to drive to work in it, witch was actually kinda harrowing as the freeway was full of people going 45, not sure of what was happening. On the bright side we sold a lot of ski’s today, and found out that the mountain opens tomorrow. Ski season here i come!

Hmmm… snow waits until November 19 in Portland? SWEET!
I am SO moving out of Bozeman, where the first snow was October 1st this year, and Halloween night we hovered around zero (not including wind chill.) I’ve had enough snow and ice in the last year and a half for the rest of my life – back to Portland, where snow stays where it’s SUPPOSED to be – up on Mt. Hood.

Dont get too excited guys. Its hard to be ski bunny when you dont know how to ski;-)
Besides, once i do i probably wont be spending a lot of time in places where showing off is possible. lift tickets are expensive.
