How can you just sit there when Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow is coming out TOMORROW?

!!!

I can’t! I can’t! That’s why I’m running around the room pretending to be a giant Zeppelin! ZOOOOOM! ZOOOOOOOM!

And typing at the same time? Your skills are ASTOUNDING!

I am one of those new-fangled Zeppelins with opposable thumbs. Also: fingers!

Very long fingers, to both run around the room AND type comments!

Maybe he’s got long, stringy arms, like those tall robot dudes?

Greystork, you’re a genius! That’s obviously the answer, and he’s just been trying to lull us into a false sense of security by CLAIMING he is a slow, vulnerable zeppelin. Wonko is obviously a mysterious cyclopsean killer robot.

I don’t know, we may be wrong. “Beep boop” does not sound sufficiently sinister for the robots we have in mind. Perhaps wonko is an aibo. Or a Furrbie!

Beep DIE PUNY HUMANS boop!

Now you’re just mad because we know you’re an Aibo. I know what will cheer you up! Fetch!

So HOW WAS IT, after all?

I’ve read good reviews. I’d really like to go see it tonight. The mister doesn’t answer any form of communication I spew his way. Know a good singing telegram service in the Puget Sound area? I may just ask my pal Alabama Hellcat to go with me.

I will review it tomorrow: short version, it’s worth seeing. Starts out a little fuzzy and stilted but gets moving, and the middle is chock-full of action and even some funnies.

The middle is chock-full of action and funnies? How about the end? Or was I just imagining the action and funnies there?

Well, okay. The action and funnies were there too. But right at the end there was a distressing lack of aeroplanes.

I may be biased.
