Where has this word been all my life? The existence of ‘tenebrous’ was gift enough, but now this! I love you, English language! Et aussi le français, bien sûr—‘caligineux’ et ‘tenebreux’, vous voyez.

We should go to the spelling bee together. You know, the Scripps Howard traditional spit-it-to-win-it spelling bee? At least go to the one in Portland while I’ll attend the one in Seattle. It’s a celebration of words and word-geekery. Huzzah! It’s in March.
