I don’t know that there’s anything about the girl in me just now. Or if there is, if it’s about killing the dark, or something else :P

You know, I haven’t read Wolves in the Walls. I must admit I have a weird relationship with Gaiman’s work—some of it I adore so much (Neverwhere and Stardust) that I have a hard time bringing myself to read much more of his work, because it’s almost a letdown. Very cowardly of me.
felicityhttp://faerye.net/post/marcus-and-the-dark#comment-1665Happiness is a good story2005-03-30T20:35:31+00:002005-03-30T20:35:31+00:00
Completely yummy. Very satisfying, but leaves me wanting more. Much more. Methinks there are hints of Wolves in the Walls in that. So me want more!
Tell me about the girl.
EMetahttp://faerye.net/post/marcus-and-the-dark#comment-1664Re: New York Times Bestseller!2005-03-30T15:20:10+00:002005-03-30T15:20:10+00:00
Umm…no…I’m implying your blurb-writing genius is as yet unappreciated by the great unwashed!
felicityhttp://faerye.net/post/marcus-and-the-dark#comment-1662Re: New York Times Bestseller!2005-03-30T15:17:04+00:002005-03-30T15:17:04+00:00
Are you implying that I, wonko, do not have blurb-writing credentials?!
wonkohttp://faerye.net/post/marcus-and-the-dark#comment-1661Re: New York Times Bestseller!2005-03-30T15:13:40+00:002005-03-30T15:13:40+00:00
I dunno. I think you have to have your own blurb-writing credentials before you can write blurbs with any appearance of authority. Plus, bias!

Thankee though :)
felicityhttp://faerye.net/post/marcus-and-the-dark#comment-1659New York Times Bestseller!2005-03-30T14:54:31+00:002005-03-30T14:54:31+00:00
When you’re a bigshot author, can I be one of those people whose overzealous blurbs get pasted all over the covers of your books?

I’ll say things like, “A damn good read!” and “A page-turner! Impossible to put down!” and sometimes, “I laughed until I cried!” or “I cried until I laughed!”.

In this particular case, I’d have said, “Only [Eilonwy] could turn such a chimerical idea into a short story so poetic and beautiful…I couldn’t put it down!”
