Although when “such-and-such” is “coffee shop”, the pretense is rather thin.

You may be correct in general. But yesterday was the first REAL Spring day, and I could tell the bumblebees were flitting. They do it awkwardly, but they try. It’s like watching horses attempt a gavotte.

For what it’s worth, I doubt normal bees can even try to flit. They are much too efficient. But bumblebees are such ridiculous things that a certain spirit of frivolity seeps into them.

Since when did “industrius” bees flit? I object to your verb: Bees may wander, roam, bumble, buzz, swarm, sting, etc., but only butterflies flit. But you needn’t mind my imperatives…

I spent more time outside today than is probably strictly alotted to me as break time today. But it was nice and sunny and I don’t care. One of the perks of salaried work.

I am trapped in the 4:30 pm workday zone of terror (which now lasts from 3pm to 6pm, a solid 3 hour block of terror) in an office building in front of a computer with my back to the window. And again I am reminded why I want to work from home.
